The Most Common and Most Avoidable Electrical Hazards
Your Safety Program May Not Catch

Did you know that electrical malfunctions and accidents are one of the leading causes for commercial fires and property loss – equal only to intentionally set fires?

And while residential fires and electrical accidents cause more deaths, commercial electrical accidents cause more damage. In the millions of dollars each year! The average cost of damage due to electrical hazards ranges from $769,000 for manufacturing to $830,000 for hotels, universities, hospitals and shopping malls. That’s per occurrence, according to a U.S.-based insurance agency.

And that’s not even including the cost of human life and injury and more indirect, less tangible costs, like the cost of time to rebuild and delays to plans, legal fees, accident investigation. The list could go on and on.
